SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Hello and thank you for visiting this site! My name is Robin Kahn. I am a speech language pathologist and am proud to announce my current licenses to practice in New York, New Jersey and also for telehealth therapy in the state of Florida.

The pandemic completely has changed the way that I work. All of my sessions are via tele-health which allows me to bring services to you when it is convenient. This may be after traditional 9-5 hours. This may be on a weekend or on a weekday. Perhaps you need help during a lunch hour, a breakfast meeting, before or after school.

I bring to you a variety of skills from different work experiences that includes work in hospitals, schools, group homes, outpatient clinics and with both children as young as infants through adults.

Over the years I have developed some specialized skills with:

Birth, toddlers and school aged children who have autism spectrum and sensory challenges that include feeding disorders.

PROMPT (levels one and two)which is often requested by parent of children who want help in learning how tactile cues can be used to learn how to articulate sounds.

SOS therapy which is designed to help infants through maturing children who have sensory challenges around feeding

SPEAKOUT Therapy with adults who have Parkinson’s Disease or related conditions. The premise of the approach is that of living life with intent, including how we use our voice and the muscles involved therein for effective communication and swallowing skills.

DIR Floor-time certification is pending for Functional Capacities 1-4.

Feel free to reach out and let me know how I can be of help!
